Residents of Vihiga County are worried after the discovery of two bodies in a toilet tank located behind Kenya Women Finance Bank in Mbale, near the county mortuary.

Police officers have recovered the bodies, which have yet to be identified, and the area has been cordoned off as investigations continue.

According to Vihiga News Network, the police have not yet released the identity of the victims or confirmed the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Until the time of writing this report, the police had started investigating the case which has put the residents of the area on high alert.

The incident has caused outrage among residents, who say it reflects the growing insecurity in the county since the year began.

Many have criticized local law enforcement agencies, claiming that the only thing officers are fighting is alcohol and discotheques.

Some residents questioned the distance of the crime scene from law enforcement centers and called on the government to intervene.

Former Legal Officer of Vihiga Auawa

The incident comes just a week after Raychelle Syamba, a former legal officer in Vihiga, was found murdered hours after she got lost on her way home to celebrate Christmas.

A day before his death, he had attended his cousin’s graduation ceremony at Kabarak University in Nakuru and traveled back Poisonousthen he rode three to Bondo.

Raychelle, who had ridden a motorcycle to their home in Got Agulu despite her sister’s advice, lost contact with her family six kilometers from home after the motorcycle she was carrying ran out of fuel.

When she failed to make it home to her family who were eagerly awaiting her for their Christmas reunion, her husband launched a search before finding her body in the morgue. Bondo.
