On Monday, January 12, the Central Management Committee of ODM, led by party leader Oburu Oginga, agreed to begin pre-election coalition talks with the Democratic Union (UDA).

What is the position that ODM cannot find in the alliance with UDA?

In a Twitter message, Cherargei congratulated the Orange party, calling their decision to cooperate with the ruling party like Solomon’s.

“I congratulate the ODM party for Solomon’s wise decision to start pre-election agreement talks with my party, the Democratic Union (UDA), immediately on the 2027 General Election and beyond,” Cherargei said.

He said UDA members will support negotiations to ensure ODM and like-minded political partners support President William Ruto and Kithur Kindiki in the year 2027.

According to Cherargei’s Twitter message, the Orange party will not be given the position of deputy president in their alliance agreement with the UDA.

“We, as members of the UDA, will provide all support to ensure the success of this pre-merger agreement between the ODM party and other like-minded partners to form a Ruto-Kindiki winning ticket in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

Will Edwin Sifuna be expelled from ODM?

Cherargei also continued his criticism of the ODM secretary general Edwin Sifunacalling him a saboteur of the wider government.

He suggested that the Nairobi-speaking senator was living on borrowed time and that he would soon be expelled from the party unless he apologized for his wrongdoings.

“Finally, I warned in advance that ODM Secretary General Sifuna is on borrowed time before being removed for being a saboteur of the wider government and this should be done quickly unless he pays for his legal sins immediately as he remains as an ordinary member of the party as the saying goes;” You can only play with your mother’s… but not your father’s…,” he added.
