KCSE Results 2025: Top Performing Schools in Average Marks

  • KCSE 2025 results were officially announced by the Minister of Education Julius Ogamba at Chebisaas Secondary School in Eldoret
  • 1,932 candidates scored A (plain), a number that showed a significant increase compared to 1,693 in 2024, with national schools leading the way with high results
  • Day schools also performed well, with sub-county schools surpassing those of the county in terms of the number of students who met the criteria to join universities.

Education Minister Julius Ogamba officially announced the results of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2025 at Chebisaas Secondary School, Eldoret.

The group of candidates of 2025 showed great progress especially for students of higher levels, where 1,932 candidates obtained grade A (plain), compared to 1,693 in 2024.

National schools continued to dominate academically, accounting for 1,526 of the total students who got A (plain).

270,715 candidates achieved a minimum university entrance grade of C+ or higher, equivalent to approximately 27% of all candidates.

Day schools, especially those in the sub-county, have emerged as rising stars in academic achievement, surpassing county schools in the number of students who have met the criteria to join universities.
