Londiani: A woman who survived an accident that killed 6 recounts the tragedy that befell the passengers

  • A total of six people died when a bus going to Busia from Nairobi was involved in a horrific accident with a truck in the morning
  • Survivors in the bus shared the last moments and how the driver was involved in the accident before the collision, as well as how some of them desperately tried to save themselves.
  • Doctors at the County Referral Hospital shared the condition of the people admitted, the treatment they would receive and also showed that some of the survivors had serious injuries

Londiani, Kenya – A woman who survived the horrific accident that happened in Fort Tenan on the Londiani-Muhoroni Road has shared what caused the accident that claimed six lives while 21 others were hospitalized.

NTV reports that the bus hit the truck from behind, causing the front end to be completely destroyed.

“We were leaving Nairobi for Busia, but in Naivasha, another driver took the bus. He was driving fast, chewing, and talking on his phone. In front of him was a truck with loads of cargo, and when the truck was trying to pass, they collided,” said a female survivor.

“We hit the truck from behind, and people started coming out through the windows. I don’t know if those around the driver survived,” shared a male survivor.

How many people were injured in London?

According to doctors, five of the 21 people who were taken to the Kericho County Referral Hospital were seriously injured, while others had minor injuries.

“Our medical team is trying to deal with the situation, and it seems some of them will be referred for further treatment outside the Kericho County Referral Hospital,” the doctors said.

3 people lost their lives in an accident in London

In January 2025, a tragic accident occurred on the same Londiani-Muhoroni road and to luck bad led to three people losing their lives.

The accident involved a Dreamline bus traveling from Mombasa to kiss leaving at least 40 passengers seriously injured.

It seems that the bus lost direction and went off the road, then fell on its left side; Painful pictures taken at the scene showed extensive damage to the car.

The police who were there arrested the driver, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary for surgery.
