On Saturday, January 3, Gachagua led several leaders to mourn the death of the Member of Parliament Embakasi North James Gakuya following the death of his mother, Alice Wangari Gakuya.

Leader of the Labor Party Moses Kuria he left the funeral in anger, claiming there were plans to attack the leaders who oppose the former vice president.

Kuria cited an attack on Lamu Women’s Representative Monicah Muthoni, who was angered after she shouted insults.

“I have just come from Makomboki, where I had gone to comfort Hon. James Gakuya when we were burying his beloved mother, Alice Wangari Gskiuya. I left when I heard about a plot to cause violence against those who are supposed to be against Rigathi Gachagua. I did not know that they could reach the level of attacking a woman – Lamu Women’s Representative Muthoni Marubu. I have asked before whether Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki or Uhuru Kenyatta could order violence against women,” Kuria said.

Using abusive language, Kuria declared a political war with Gachagua, saying that the former Vice President had crossed a red line.

“Mr. Rigathi Gachagua you are a coward, a dictator and a dangerous person. From today prepare for war. You have crossed the red line,” the former Minister of Commerce declared.
