Nairobi – A senior police officer linked to Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has died.
On Thursday, January 1, Kindi shared heartbreaking details about the death of her bodyguard, John Lwane Lumumba.
How did Amason Kingi cry for John Lumumba?
The Senate Speaker recalled spending time with Lumumba shortly before his death, saying that the tragedy came as a great shock.
Kingi recounted how they were walking and talking happily shortly before being informed later that Lumumba had died.
“You are gone too soon, my little brother. The cruel hand of death has caught you too soon. One minute we are walking and talking happily, and the next minute I am called to be informed that you are no more,” Kingi said.
Kingi emphasized that Lumumba was more than just a security agent; their relationship extended beyond their professional duties.
He praised Lumumba’s dedication, expertise, and honesty, qualities that earned him great personal and professional respect.
“To me you were not just a security guard, you were family. I was impressed by the way you fulfilled your duty with dedication, professionalism and great honesty. Rest in peace Captain John Lwane Lumumba,” the Senate speaker lamented.
