The driver, who was transporting packages from Nairobi to Mombasa, was kidnapped by criminals near the Emali Bridge in Makueni county.
What happened to the truck driver in Tsavo?
He was forcibly removed from the truck, his legs and arms tied behind his back with ropes, leaving him completely defenseless.
The attackers then dumped him in a bush inside Tsavo National Park, leaving him to die on December 28.

In photos shared on social media, the visibly shaken driver was seen lying on the ground, his arms and legs still tied.
His clothes were dirty and muddy, and he had no shoes.
In the next photo, local residents helped him to his feet, although he appeared unsteady and struggled to find his footing as he tried to walk.
Where did the delivery truck go?
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Sikika Road Safety, which shared the sad photos of the driver on social media, confirmed that the man was rescued on December 29.
They said that although the driver did not have any visible injuries, he was still recovering from the shock of the incident, surrounded by his loved ones.
“It was the locals who were passing through the area who found him and saved him from a situation that could have been fatal. He is very grateful to be alive, and is now at home with his family, recovering from the ordeal,” the Sikika Road Safety spokesperson said.
The hearing also revealed that the suspects had removed the truck’s tracking device, making it difficult to trace its whereabouts. They urged anyone with information about the missing truck to come forward or report it to the nearest police station.

What happened to the Kakamega businessman?
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a businessman in Kakamega county narrowly escaped death after an attack by unknown assailants.
Alfred Aswani, a retired teacher, was on his way home from his shop when a gang of unknown assailants approached and attacked him.
The suspects shot him twice in the chest before fleeing the scene, leaving the old man for dead. He was rushed to the hospital by residents where he was treated and the bullets were removed.
