Nairobi, Kenya: It is a sad morning as former Citizen TV presenter, Jacque Maribehas lost his father, who was suffering from cancer, and this information has caused his family and friends to go into mourning.

Many Kenyans saw Maribe Mwangi for the first time on television when she was protecting her daughter against the alleged involvement in the murder of Monica Kimani, along with her then boyfriend, Jowie Irungu.
Mwangi also protected him from the media by physically protecting him.
Jacque’s close friend, Dennis Itumbi, led other Kenyans in mourning his death, describing the late father as a strong man who was easy to relate to.

“There is a picture online that will always show who he really was: a good and truly loving father,” he said.

Why were Kenyans attracted to the late Mwangi?
A person identified as Muwalker on the internet, was attracted to the famous photo of Maribe Mziga with her daughter. He said in the picture, Mzee looks a bit harsh but it shows the love and protection of a father.
“Maribe Senior seems like a person who is ready to face anything that seems a threat to his daughter. It doesn’t matter what his beloved daughter has done in the world, but he considers what this harsh world brings to his daughter,” he said.
What did Kenyans say about the news?
Kipkogei Agui: “This is a huge blow to Jacque Maribe, his family and all who knew his father, seeing his father just once on these digital spaces was enough—he was the father every child would want to have. Be very careful.”
Julius Matei Moga: “The clip in which this photo was found and the one where the father was hugging him in court will remain a refuge for us men on the meaning of being a father. My prayers to this family.”
Juanita Joshua: “Imagine growing up without the protection of a father. God knows the fate of everyone, but it is very difficult when you have to protect yourself in every corner, step, space, age and room. I respect him but I envy the Maribe family, I would like to have one person who will always assure me that my daughter is with you, you are my daughter; I will go many miles for you, with or without a party. We go to war together, together, but God has given us the strength not to give up, @Jacque Maribe, we are in this together.”

5 times Jacque Maribe’s father showed support for his daughter
Mwangi, went with his daughter to court on Friday, February 9, 2024, but it was not the only time he showed his support.
After the court case that was going on for a while, the Maribes were happy after Jacque was cleared of murder charges against him in the Kimani murder case.
