The funeral of Mayienga FM boss, Festus Amimo, was attended by friends and family who had come from afar to give him a dignified burial.

Amimo collapsed and died on December 7, bringing grief to the media community and his close political friends.

His wife, Rosie, has been praising him as a friend and someone who loved him enough to help him and pay for everything in the house.

Oburu Oginga gave his wife KSh 60,000 to help her even as she was preparing to recover after her husband’s funeral.

“This is yours, and as you can see, he brings us another Amimo,” he added.

Oburu also gave Amimo’s mother KSh 40,000 as a form of apology before he and his team left for another event.

Amimo’s wife remembered their argument

In another statement, Amimo’s widow recalled how the journalist was always on her phone and how she reminded him to rest.

He added that when he got home he was still on the phone, and every time they argued about it because he kept saying it was his office.

According to Rosie, Amimo would say that being on the phone was the only way he had to continue supporting the family, but she would remind him to rest.
