Residents of Kakindo village, Mubende are still in shock following the incident where his son allegedly planned the brutal murder of his 70-year-old father.

The old man, Joseph Masukano Tayombere, a coffee farmer, was found dead in his farm after being attacked by two men.
Joseph was tending his farm in the middle of Uganda on the morning of December 16 when he was targeted by the suspects, one of whom was his 22-year-old son, Tadeo Sempa.
Wamala regional police spokesperson, Lamech Kigozi, confirmed the incident, noting that preliminary investigation showed that Sempa allegedly hired a local man, Moses Lule, to carry out the murder.

Did Tadeo Sempa pay gangsters to kill his father?
According to the police, Sempa paid Lule, a resident of Nakwero Village in Mukono district, 3 million shillings (KSh 108,300) to carry out the attack.
“After committing the crime, the suspects tried to flee the scene, but the residents felt suspicious and raised the alarm,” Skin said.
In addition, Kigozi added that Lule was the one who carried out the attack, seriously injuring the old man.
Before the police arrived at the scene, residents arrested Sempa, restrained him and assaulted him, which left him with serious injuries.
He allegedly solved the crime, noting that his accomplice had fled in a boda-boda.
“Residents stopped the motorcycle that was transporting Lule at a nearby station. The motorcycle riders turned towards the suspect, raised the alarm and finally arrested him,” Kigozi said in a Daily Monitor report.

During the interview, Lule admitted that he had been hired by Sempa to kill Joseph.

Sempa was taken to hospital under police custody following the injuries he sustained from the mob attack, while Lule was arrested and detained.
While examining the old man’s body, crime scene officers found large scissors in his stomach and badly cut hands.
The police quickly thanked the measures taken by residents and motorcyclists in preventing the suspects from running away.
“This event shows how community awareness and cooperation with security agencies can have an important role in fighting crime,” the police said.
They added that they remind motorcyclists not to knowingly transport suspects to secret residences.
Kigozi shared that the investigation is ongoing, and evidence is being collected to facilitate official charges.

In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a Kitui man, Musee Ngui, allegedly confessed to killing his father.
Musee told her family that her 65-year-old father, Ngui Ngunza, had traveled, leaving them asking questions and wondering why she had not informed them.
He was later arrested for another crime, where he confessed to burying the old man in a small grave after killing him.
