Kakamega, Kenya: The brother-in-law of the deceased politician Cyrus Jirongo has touched many people after he shared that he moved him out of the communal compound and bought him land.

The former Member of Parliament for Lugari died in a fatal road accident in Naivasha after his Mercedes-Benz allegedly collided with a Climax bus; he died on the spot.
The driver of the Climax bus, identified as Tirus Kamau, said that Jirongo had just left a petrol station and entered the wrong lane before the fatal collision.
One witness, who later shared a video of TikTokshowed the scene after the accident while explaining how it happened.

What did witnesses say about the Jirongo accident?
In his video, Jirongo’s Mercedes-Benz car is seen lying on its side, and a passenger bus was also there as the authorities inspected the scene.
His body was later transported to Lee Funeral Home for burial. By the time Jirongo’s body was brought to Lee Funeral Home, his friends and family had already heard the news and were waiting for him.
At home in Lugari, friends and relatives were also trying to come to terms with the death, and among them was Elizabeth Jirongo, the wife of the elder brother of the deceased politician.
Like many other people who admired Jirongo, the woman said she had a very big heart and changed the direction of her life.
“A big tree has fallen. I used to live in this compound, but he bought my own land,” Elizabeth said.

Moses Wetang’ula remembers his last meeting with Jirongo
In other news, the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula was shocked to hear the death of the former Member of Parliament Jirongo as they were together just a few hours before his involvement in the accident.
The Speaker narrated how Jirongo called him after the Republic Day celebrations and asked to meet.
The two met Karen from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm before they parted ways.
While talking about the death, Wetang’ula reflected on humanity and also recounted the loss of his older brother just a few days before Jirongo’s death, adding that death happens without people knowing.
