2. Nation Today
Taifa Leo reported on the remarks of the former vice president Rigathi Gachaguawho revealed that President Ruto is trying to convince Kalonzo Musyoka to join the general government.
Gachagua claimed the president is sending allies to influence the Wiper leader before the 2027 General Election.
Addressing the believers during the church service there KasaraniGachagua criticized the alleged strategy, saying it undermines democracy as it is meant to weaken the opposition for an easy victory in 2027.
“There have been efforts by President Ruto and his allies to convince Kalonzo Musyoka to join his camp. There are many who follow him everywhere so that he joins them,” he said.
Despite these claims, Gachagua insisted that the president will not succeed in defeating Kalonzo or other opposition leaders.
“I want to tell Kenyans that as opponents, we know what is on our minds.
In due course, we will nominate a candidate to contest against William Ruto. The relationship between me and Kalonzo is not about leadership, politics, or the presidency. It is family friendly and heavier than water. We will not separate,” he said.
