How Liverpool played without Diogo Jota
Liverpool have endured a difficult few months since Jota’s death, with their Premier League title defense going against expectations.
Arne Slot’s team has found itself in a difficult time despite huge investments in players like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.
On Wednesday, they drew against Sunderland, where Wirtz thought he had scored his first goal for Liverpool, but it was ruled out as an own goal by Nordi Mukiele. They are currently eighth in the table with 22 points.
