Shadrack Maritim: The Politician Who Disappeared While Exercising Several Weeks Ago Is Found In Uganda

Maritim left his home on October 27, never to return, and they had CCTV footage of him walking down the street to start his morning jog.

According to his family, Maritim used to go jogging in the morning at 12 am wearing a gray jacket, shoes of the same color, and blue pants.

“He is in his forties and has an athletic build. “He left his phone at home, and there has been no contact since his disappearance,” the family said.

“He went for a run in the morning and never came back; we are very worried. Please help us find him,” they said at the time.

Maritim is among those who turned out in large numbers to run for the Tinderet Member of Parliament (MP) seat in the next General Election of 2027, and some of his supporters took to the streets when they realized that he was missing.

Uasin Gishu County Member of Parliament, identified as Julius Melly, reacted to the disappearance of the politician days after he went missing and urged the government to take action.

Some Kenyans expressed mixed feelings protest shaking the city, with some expressing hope that he would be found.

“Sure, he is sane; he was found dumped in Uganda. He reported to one of the police stations and called his brother,” said his family.

Member of Parliament Peter Mwathi is kidnapped in Limuru

In other news, former Limuru Member of Parliament Peter Mwathi was suddenly kidnapped while attending the funeral of the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Limuru.

The funeral which took place on Thursday, November 28, was not well organized due to the chaos that broke out suddenly with thugs, and Mwathi was reportedly kidnapped.

Senators Karungo Thang’wa and John Methu claimed that men in a Subaru car took Mwathi.
