He was shot and killed by gunmen on motorcycles who attacked his car in Nairobi.
There was excitement as Boyd took the oath of office, with his inauguration a poignant affair, as he walked down the same hall his late father had walked.
What happened at Boyd Were’s inauguration?
Boyd Were was warmly welcomed into Parliament by his family and friends, looking excited as he made his way to the parliament hall.
Dressed in a dark gray striped suit, red tie, matching pocket square, and stylish wristwatch, Boyd exuded confidence. His neat haircut added to his good looks, and marked his debut on the national stage.
Following in his father’s political footsteps, Boyd smiled as he was escorted by the Member of Parliament for Homa Bay Town, Peter Kaluma.
