Kikuyu celebrities turned out for singer Ngaruiya Junior’s official song release party on Sunday, November 30.
What happened to the Kikuyu influencers?
Rumors that celebrities who attended the event were ill emerged on social media immediately after the ceremony.
He wrote: “Some of the musicians have been rushed to the hospital after eating at yesterday’s event. They had stomach problems and diarrhea until they were taken to the hospital, although I will not say which incident. We wish them a speedy recovery, because two of them are in a very serious condition,” he wrote.
Later, Karangu went on social media and asked his fans to investigate about the artists who attended the launch.
“If you have a friend who attended last night’s Ngaruiya Junior ‘King Of Kigooco’ event, please check on him. I’m in the hospital, and I’m fine,” he wrote.
He also revealed that his daughter Ngaruiya was also rushed to the hospital after suffering stomach problems.
“Binti Ngaruiya is also in the hospital. Pray for everyone who was there,” he added.

The father of three later shared a picture of him in the hospital receiving medication. He noted that he had never been as sick as he had been the night before.
“It was a long night. I have never had a head and stomach like that again. Above all, I thank God,” he said.
TUKO.co.ke contacted the Mark Hotel, where the event was held, for more information, but they declined to comment.
“We cannot discuss the issue over the phone,” they said.
