A few hours after his camp won all seven parliamentary and Senate seats, Ruto he mentioned the results as a big message that his critics have no ideas and have been rejected by the people.
How did Ruto connect the victory of the by-elections with the political message?
During his speech in Kamandura, Friday, November 28, at the inauguration of the Rironi-Mau Summit road, the president quickly linked the victory of Mbeere Kaschini and other areas to what he called the national message.
He said the results showed that Kenyans have chosen development instead of the political statements floated by opponents who opposed his broad government.
The country’s leader told the crowd that the by-elections from Mbeere North to Kasipul, Banissa, Baringo to Malava, were taken by candidates who support his government.
He used that argument to attack opponents, saying the results show that the people are fed up with leaders who have no agenda for the country.
“You all know yesterday there was an election in Kenya, from Mbeere North to Kasipul; from Banissa, through Baringo to Malava. Isn’t that right? Out of those seven votes, right? Out of the seven parliamentary and Senate seats, all seven have been won by the broad-based government,” Ruto said.
In a speech full of jabs and warnings, Ruto said the voters had returned to the message he gave the opposition weeks ago.
He accused them of traveling around the country with only one mission: “One term, Kasongo, Must Go,” saying such a statement cannot lead the nation.
“Let me ask you: in this country, there are people who are used to empty words. If they come here, you will hear them. They have no agenda. They have no plan. They have no policy. They will come here and tell you only three things. They will say: one term, Kasongo must go,” Ruto said.
How did Ruto accuse the opponents of inciting division?
The President went on to say that his opponents are fueling racism, hatred and division, insisting they know nothing about roads, health reform, affordable housing, the Community Health Authority or highway construction.
“I told them recently: you who live with tribalism and hatred, you who shout one term, Kasongo must go, that is not a policy. Go and look for a real policy. And I told them, if they refuse to look for a policy, they will be left behind,” Ruto added.
He made it clear that his government is looking at future generations, mocking his critics as politicians who only think about the next election and titles.
“We are talking about the next generation. We are talking about the people. You are talking about the leaders; we are talking about the people. You are talking about the next election; we are talking about the next generation,” he said, adding that the difference between the two sides is as clear as night and day.

Ruto said the voters have reinforced the difference through the results of the by-elections, warning that the opposition is at risk of a serious defeat in 2027.
“Yesterday, the voters repeated the message I gave them. They told them: look for a policy, look for a plan, look for an agenda. And if you exceed one term, Kasongo must go, your meat is ripe, you will see dust,” he said.
He concluded his speech with a stern warning that the opposition will suffer more if it continues on the same path.
“Now I have told them: if they continue like this, we will drown them early in the morning,” Ruto added.
