Speaking at AIC Mukuni in Machakos county on Sunday, November 30, Kalonzo said the opposition is preparing a petition to challenge the victory of Malava MP David Ndakwa and Mbeere North MP Leonard Wa Muthende.
He said the opposition has a strong case that could lead to the overturning of the Malava and Mbeere North by-election results.

The Wiper leader accused President Ruto of directly influencing the Mbeere North by-election on behalf of the UDA candidate.
“William Ruto knows that UDA did not win Malava and Mbeere. We have evidence that he personally called the police commanders in Mbeere North to ensure Muthende won. The whole world knows Ruto used every trick in the book to give the impression of victory. The belief is that he lost,” he added.

In the ODM party, Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga has emerged as a possible candidate to succeed Ruto.
Wanga, who is the chairman of the Orange Party, has been a strong advocate of broad government.
According to reliable sources, Ruto may choose Wanga as one way to use the supporters of the late former prime minister Raila Odinga.
Other close allies of the president are defending the Prime Minister Stay Mudavadi elected as a co-candidate.
According to this group, Mudavadi could be a consensus candidate if the Mt Kenya and Nyanza regions insist on the seat.
However, Kindiki also remains the favorite candidate for the seat, given that he won the Mbeere North parliamentary seat.
