This happened hours after Boyd was announced as the new Member of Parliament for Kasipul, succeeding his father who was shot in April.
The Kasipul election, which was one of the hotly contested seats, included other candidates like Philip Aroko and Money Bior.
At her final campaign rally, Millie disputed claims by some that Boyd is young and unmarried, saying that should not be a concern and deny him the vote.
Who did Millie Odhiambo introduce to Boyd Were?
The MP publicly introduced a beautiful woman and said she was solving Boyd’s problem of being single.
“They say Boyd is a little boy, so we shouldn’t choose him. I’ve brought a little girl, because as you can see, he hasn’t found a wife yet. He’ll just say his name,” he said.
The beauty took the microphone and excited the residents with her sweet voice while giving encouragement to them.
“My name is Sherrly Omondi, and please vote for Boyd on the 27th. Chude Chude,” he said as the crowd cheered.
The Suba North MP continued to rally support for Boyd and shared how he himself got the seat while still unmarried.
“There are women here. She is very educated, she even has a master’s degree. And she is from here. And if that is what offends you, there are many women here. I also want to say, I Millie, I have been an MP for almost 17 years, and I also came in without a husband. I got married while in parliament. So please don’t tell us that Boyd is small, they are the powerful, and they know how to get votes and fix things,” he added.
