Earlier, security officers had isolated the road and sent many officers to prevent Gachagua and his team from entering the city.
However, with the help of the locals who knew the rural roads that the police did not know, he was able to pass and reach the city where he was greeted with joy by thousands of followers.
“Since I am a villager, I contacted my fellow residents of Narok who guided me through rural roads that the police do not know, and I entered Narok victoriously, I was received by thousands of DCP supporters,” Gachagua wrote on Facebook.
Just five minutes after he started to speak, the police fired tear gas towards the crowd, forcing Gachagua and his entourage to seek safety.
Despite the violence, no one was injured, and the young people who were supporting Gachagua seemed ready to face the police to listen to him.
