The video of Pasta Kanyari saying that he hoped Betty Bayo would come back to him created a buzz
Kanyari said that she allowed Tash to stay with the children because she was hurt and was still mourning the death of their mother.
“I know he’s been hurt but I don’t know much about him because she was his wife, I know he’s crying for him. And the only people who can comfort him are my children when they’re around him. That’s why I haven’t shown anger; I can’t take them… I’ve seen people fight for their wives and children, but I don’t want to fight. I just want to continue being a good person,” he said.
Co-founder of the service Salvation and Healing Ministry revealed that she and Tash talked about who would live with the children after their mother’s death.
“Every time I was near Tash, I told her not to cause trouble so that we could bury Bayo with respect. She used to ask ‘where will the children stay?’ I told him to stay with them,” he said.

How did Kanyari and Betty Bayo meet?
He recounted how he met Bayo for the first time, revealing the details of their first meeting.
“I had invited Dennis Mutara to sing in my church, but he refused to come. Pastor Rose told me about Betty Bayo, whose song 11th Hour was very popular at the time. He called Bayo and asked for payment, he was told 30,000 shillings, and he agreed to come and sing in the church.”
Kanyari said Bayo left after singing, and when he tried to send him the money he had requested, the transaction failed.
“He told me he was at the Ambassador Hotel drinking tea, and we talked for a long time. At that time, his ex-boyfriend had cheated on him and had taken him to the police. We talked until five in the evening, he asked me to take him home. When we got to Kiambu Road, there was traffic, he asked where I live.
When I told Donholm, he said let’s go to my place, we slept. He slept in the living room, I in the bedroom. The next day we stayed together, and he slept with me again. We loved each other; A week later he moved in with his clothes, we had a quick traditional marriage. After the saga of 310, he left. I have never met a woman as beautiful as Bayo. She was the best woman I have ever met. It’s because he left me; I would not leave him. We will remember you. Sleep well,” he said.

- Jackline Muange: “I’m not saying whose side I’m on; let them take care of themselves. But I’ve learned a lot from Tash. Silence is a weapon. Kanyari is confused because she doesn’t know what’s going on in Tash’s head; she’s been silent.”
- Betty. A: “Why is he speaking in public? Or is that part of the sermon?”
- Teacher Grace Shiru: “Wise decision, prophet.”
