Who ordered the phone that caused the murder of Anthony Olwal?

It is said that Olwal was receiving an ordinary phone after being sent to deliver a high-end iPhone worth KSh220,000.

Eunice recounted the events that led to her husband’s death, saying that the client identified herself as Grace.

The distressed woman said that the woman told her that the call would go to “Hillary”, her brother who lives in South B.

“The customer had told me her name was Grace. She called Hillary and told her that the iPhone had been ordered by Grace and she said, “You are in South B, I will deliver it to you, so if you can, tell me exactly where in South B and I will come.” Then I wrote her a receipt, and she went, took the phone, and sent it. The phone has been found, but we do not know where her phone is,” Eunice recalled.

This would set off a chain of events that would end with Olwal’s family mourning his tragic death.

She explained that she felt something was wrong after her husband, who was usually careful and first in his deliveries, took so long to return.

How did Anthony Olwal’s wife find out that he is dead?

Eunice set out on a journey, with a friend, to find out if everything was okay and that’s when she got some sad news.

“When we were approaching the building, we met an ice cream seller while asking for directions, who told us about reports of a bodaboda who had been killed and described my husband’s motorcycle. At that time, I felt something was wrong and my heart broke,” he added.

Now a widow, Eunice has pleaded for justice, questioning her husband’s motive for murder, lamenting the pain she has been left to endure.

“I want my husband to get justice because people are killed, but what happened to him is pure cruelty. I don’t understand why someone would kill another human being. If it was about the phone, he could have taken it and left, and we would have paid for it. Life cannot be changed,” she cried.

The phone call that Olwal was making when he was killed was from a friend, Tonny Mwenda, who confirmed the agreement between them in their last conversation.

Mwenda explained that they did not have a high quality phone, so they got it from a local seller and agreed to give the seller his money after selling the phone at a profit.

“I went to my friend and took the phone. I took this phone from my friend, whose name is Ken, an iPhone seller, because we couldn’t afford the phone ourselves. I took it from my friend so that he can sell it, make a profit, and return the money so that we can return it to the owner,” he said.

What did the CCTV where Antony died show?

As previously reported, new CCTV footage showed the last movements of the transporter before he was killed at the Meridian Apartments in South B.

The video shows him arriving shortly before noon on November 18 with a blue delivery bag. At 11:49 am, he is seen making a phone call while trying to reach the customer who ordered the expensive phone.

He then takes the elevator to the fourth floor and enters the room where he is later found dead.

A few minutes after entering, three men left the room and one came down the stairs carrying a bag.

Another quickly follows, half-clothed and holding what appears to be a package. A third man joins them before the two of them get into a waiting Nissan Note.
