Kipyegon passed away just a few days after undergoing a traditional circumcision, which is customary in the community.
After undergoing the operation, it is said that his condition worsened and caused his parents to rush him to the hospital.
What? what happened to Emmanuel Kipyegon?
After the examination, the doctors found out that the young man had diabetes, which was unknown, and his family was not aware of it.
Due to the disease, Kipyegon suffered complications after surgery.
Diabetes impairs wound healing and significantly increases the risk of serious infections, which may have contributed to its decline.
His family buried him on November 18, with local leaders and health officials present.
They urged parents to prioritize medical examinations for their children before circumcision to prevent such tragic tragedies from happening in the near future.

What are the complications of undiagnosed diabetes?
TUKO.co.ke spoke to Kephers Njoga, a nurse, who shared important problems that can arise when a person suffers from undiagnosed diabetes.
First he explained that diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by high blood sugar.
“This happens when the body doesn’t produce enough insulin or can’t properly use the insulin it produces,” he said.
Njoga went on to explain that high blood sugar levels impair the body’s natural healing process.
This disrupts circulation and the ability of white blood cells to fight infection, meaning wounds take longer to heal.
“Furthermore, excess glucose can promote bacterial and fungal growth, which makes the wound susceptible to infection. Although rare, serious infections can be life-threatening,” he added.
