The talented musician died on Monday, November 10, at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after suffering from cancer.
The death of Pastor Victor Kanyari’s ex-wife has not only torn apart her family but the nation as a whole, including her friends and colleagues.
Where was Betty Bayo’s body kept?
Mourners gathered at the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital mortuary, where Betty’s body had been transferred after her death.
Kanyari showed a luxury car that would transport his ex-wife’s body to her final resting place.
The car was a black Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d decorated with beautiful flowers inside and additional decorations outside.
“She will be carried like a queen,” Kanyari quoted a video that showed a hearse.

According to Carnversations, the base SUV model boasts a 3,000cc turbocharged engine that delivers a solid environmental boost in both low and high revolutions per minute (RPM).
Under the hood, it has a reliable engine that has undergone several modifications and upgrades to meet the needs of the driver.
The hearse looked wide enough to carry Betty’s casket and a few passengers comfortably.
The rear mirror featured a photo of Betty and a small piece of art in her honor as she is laid to rest by friends, family and fans.
Kenyans are talking about the preparations for Betty Bayo’s funeral
Netizens were touched by the video as the pain of Betty’s death continued to be a reality.
Maria Shiru Josephine: “The one who loved and cared for him mourns him silently. As he wished, he has honored him in life and in death.”
Blessed Njeri: “And when she was alive, few treated her like the queen she was. She said, “People have good things to say about you, and I add, people have good things about you, but you must die first.” But why?
Beliah Ngugi: “A respectable sendoff. But how I wish people would be there when a person is alive more than when he is dead. When he was fighting an illness, only a few people were close to him, but now the whole world wants to support him.”
Jammal Adams: “Just remember one thing, the limo has taken him down the last six feet. That last distance home is taken by human hands. Keep those hands clean so the ride is clean.”
Jacinta Pamella: “Treat people like that when they are alive. Give them flowers, give them all the names, let them see who gives them nice things. Let them feel your presence, not when you are lifeless. The narrative must change. Rest in peace, Bayo.”
Elizabeth Githatu Wachira: “It’s good that you wish her well in her current situation. Her interview with Kezia wa Kariuki on Betty Bayo’s YouTube channel talks about how she was treated differently when she was in your life. May she RIP.”
