In his Twitter message on Tuesday, November 18, Kasmuel said those questioning Oburu’s ability are indirectly attacking the decision of the late former prime minister Raila Odinga about ODM party issues.

According to Kasmuel, Oburu was not installed as ODM leader for luck bad but considering Raila’s previous deliberate decisions.

“The attack on Oburu Oginga’s leadership of ODM is an attack on Baba’s decision and the party structures he carefully built over the years. Every decision Baba made regarding the future of ODM resulted in Oburu being confirmed as the leader of the party. He remains our leader, and we will defend him as fiercely as we defended the Honorable Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, CGH,” Kasmuel said.

The young politician claims a group of lawmakers and influential executives were being used to create a story to undermine Oburu’s leadership.

Kasmuel warned that the youth in the Orange Party will not be convinced by those who want Oburu to vacate his post.

“A new group of clever MPs and influential operatives are spending a lot of money to create the story of ODM trying to change and wipe out its leadership. We will not recognize another center of power in this party. No amount of money, bullying, or calls for “reform” will touch us. Let us not forget that it is his wisdom that has kept some of you in the ODM group,” he said.

According to Kasmuel, the Siaya senator has already strengthened the Orange Party since the death of his brother.

He accused some people close to the President’s government William Ruto for trying to interfere in the affairs of the ODM party.

“He has strengthened the Orange ship and directed it to integration and consolidation of benefits when others were giving conditions and planning their own ways. His judgment kept the parliament strong. Regardless of your position or your proximity to power, regarding Orange issues, focus on your work and allow our party leader to carry out his order. That is the discipline that built this movement, and it is the discipline that will protect its future,” he added.
