Now it has been more than a week since the gospel musician, Betty Bayo, real name Beatrice Mbugua, passed away.

The gospel musician, famous for songs like Siyabonga and 11th Hourdied while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
His family revealed that he was battling acute myeloid leukaemia, which left him in a critical condition in his final days.
When will Betty Bayo be buried?
After his death, a funeral committee jointly led by gospel musician Ben Githae and elder David Kigomo was formed to arrange his last burial.
The committee announced that there will be mourning services every day from 12 pm at the Blue Springs Hotel, her home in Edenville Estate, and at the church of her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, located in Kayole Junction.
The committee also announced a budget of KSh 5 million to ensure that the deceased gets an honorable burial.
Betty is expected to be buried on Thursday, November 20, in a funeral ceremony to be held at Ndumberi Stadium, Kiambu, followed by last rites at her Mugumo Estate farm.
TUKO.co.ke can confirm that preparations for his funeral at Ndumberi Stadium are already underway, two days before the event.
Mourners are expected to attend the mourning ceremony, including family, friends, fellow gospel musicians, leaders, and thousands of fans.
Photos from Ndumberi Stadium showed large tents being set up, with red and purple ribbon decorations setting the colorful theme for the day.

A resident of the area, Emmanuel Wambua, told TUKO.co.ke about the many activities going on in the area leading up to the event.
“People started arriving here and trucks started preparations, that’s why you see these tents being erected. I can tell you that Thursday will be very busy because everyone will come to say goodbye to Betty. Even we residents are saddened by her death, she was a man of God and blessed the lives of many.”
A gospel musician Muraya peanutswho is also a member of the funeral committee, shared photos of the ongoing preparations.
He urged mourners to gather at the Blue Springs Hotel for a final funeral service before Thursday’s funeral, confirming there would be no evening services on Wednesday, November 19.

Is Pastor Kanyari different from Tash?

His statement came as a fierce debate raged online over who would get custody of Betty’s children.
Kanyari also warned social media users against stirring up drama between him, Tash, or Betty’s family, stressing that they are still on good terms.
