The suspects, identified as four Kenyans, a Tanzanian, and an Indian citizen, were arrested on Sunday, November 16, after breaking into a house in South B street.
How were the crime suspects arrested in Nairobi?
Authorities reported that the gang arrived at the scene in a black Nissan X-Trail with fake insurance documents and fake registration numbers (registration KDQ 010C).
They had several master keys and burglary tools, which they allegedly used to enter the targeted residence.
Neighbors quickly noticed the suspicious commotion and raised the alarm, prompting the police to respond.
Officers from the South B police station arrived within minutes, stopping the suspects as they tried to flee.
Makadara Police Commander, Judith Nyongesa, confirmed their arrest, noting that the gang has been terrorizing Nairobi residents for the past two years.
“For the past two years, these people have been terrorizing citizens. They have been breaking into houses and stealing valuables including money and gold using the car,” he said.
He explained that the suspects have been linked to more than 180 cases of housebreaking reported in areas including Gigiri, Parklands, and parts of Westlands.

Police Protest Courts After Arresting Criminal Suspects
Nyongesa further revealed that a woman identified as Jackline, dressed as a spider, was part of the group but managed to escape during the raid.
“The leader of the group is of Indian origin. It is time for the Court to be very interested in this matter because they have been arrested several times,” Nyongesa insisted.
The victim also narrated that the same gang invaded his house in 2024 and ran away with all his belongings.
CCTV footage recorded at 4.35pm on Sunday, November 16, captured the suspects at work, with the female partner protecting him before fleeing when police arrived.
The six suspects were arrested while the police tracked down the woman who escaped.

Elsewhere, two suspected road robbers, William Simiyu and Byron Werunga, were arrested in an undercover operation along the Eldoret-Malaba Highway.
The suspects, believed to be part of the notorious gang behind the late night attacks targeting drivers, were arrested in a raid led by officers from Matete and Webuye Police Stations.
During the interrogation, they directed the detectives to a hideout near the Nzoia River and Nabuyola Village, where the police found stolen items, including three six-kilogram gas cylinders, various electronic devices, and car batteries, believed to have been looted in previous attacks.
