Former president Uhuru Kenyatta has donated KSh 1 million to the family of musician Betty Bayo.

The spokesperson of the Fourth President’s Office, Kanze Dena, represented Uhuru at his home.
How much did Uhuru give to Betty Bayo’s family?
Bayo’s husband, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, and the musician’s children, Sky, Victor, and Danny, welcomed Kanze to their home.
The journalist consoled the family and assured them of Uhuru’s prayers and support during this difficult period.
“The Spokesperson of the Office of the Fourth President, Mrs. Kanze Dena-Mararo, today visited the home of the late gospel artist Betty Bayo to deliver a message of condolence to former president Uhuru Kenyatta. She comforted the family, including Betty’s children Sky and Danny, her husband Hiram Gitau, and their close relatives, assuring them of the prayers and support of the former President at this difficult time,” a message from Uhuru read.

He was seen handing Tash a white package, which contained KSh 1 million as promised by the former head of state.
Kanze also donated KSh 1 million from the former president for funeral arrangements, given in honor of Betty’s life and service.
Uhuru described Bayo as a unique minister in the gospel industry who lifted the spirits and hearts of many people.

He also celebrated her strength and faith, noting that she will be remembered through her children and music.
“In his message, Kenyatta mourned Betty as ‘a wonderful minister of the gospel whose music lifted countless hearts and inspired hope across the country.’ He celebrated his dedication and contribution to gospel music and the strength of his faith, noting that “Betty’s legacy will live on through her children, her music, and the many lives she touched.” The retired president offered his sincere condolences to Betty’s family and asked for God’s comfort and strength in this time of sorrow. “May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
