The gospel singer died on Monday, November 10, while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
Bayo died of leukemia. The musician, who was the ex-wife of Pastor Kanyari, is survived by a widow, Hiram Gitau aka Tash, and two children, Sky and Danny.
Where will Betty Bayo’s funeral be held?
Tash and a group of close friends of Bayo as well as members of the organizing committee, including Shiru of GP, Muraya peanutsBishop Wanderi, Loise Kim, Elder David Kigomo and others, visited Bayo Mugumo’s home, where he will be buried.
In the photos shared by Karangu wa Muraya, the team was photographed outside a building believed to be one of the projects that Bayo was developing before his death.
Shiru, who was a very close friend of the deceased, looked very sad during the visit to the burial ground.
Sharing the photos, Karangu Muraya wrote:
“The organizing committee and the family of the late Betty Bayo have met at Mugumo Estate Kamiti Road where our sister will be laid to rest… Thank you all for your continued support… let’s meet soon at our daily meetings at Blue Springs Hotel Thika Road.
During a press conference, Kigomo announced that the funeral service will be held at Ndumberi Stadium, Kiambu county, before the body is taken to Mugumo for burial.
The singer’s memorial service will be held at the CFF church on Sunday, November 13. Below is a video of Kigomo sharing the funeral schedule.
When fans saw Bayo’s friends visiting her future grave, they consoled her husband, Tash, and her best friend, Shiru.
Others praised Bayo for investing while she was alive, urging other women to follow suit.

Why will Betty Bayo be buried in Kiambu?
Initially, rumors spread that Bayo would be buried in Maragua, Murang’a county, where she built a piece of land with her husband.
However, family announced that he will be buried at Mugumo Estatewhich sparked a debate.
A famous gospel singer, who asked not to be named, told TUKO.co.ke that Bayo invested a lot in Mugumo land, a project he loved very much, and that is why he will be placed there.
“That place is close to where he lived. He used to visit that place often because it was very important to him. Bayo was smart and invested a lot for his future life and that of his children. He had a lot of property, including the land of Maragua,” he said.
