Waki, the Kenyan who lives in Canada, was responding to reports indicating that Gachagua was asking to be allocated a part of the government if the United Opposition is formed.
Some of the media claimed that the Opposition had defined a strategy with its politicians to fight for the presidency against the President Ruto.
According to the reports, Gachagua would leave the presidential campaign in favor of the Wiper leader, Kalonzo Musyokawhile Trans Nzoia Governor, George Natembeya, is Kalonzo’s running mate.

In this regard, Miguna criticized Gachagua, accusing him of being selfish and pursuing his own interests.
Did Miguna apologize to Gachagua?
However, the lawyer later realized that the reports he referred to were fake, and apologized to Gachagua.
However, he wanted to clarify his views by emphasizing his disagreement with false politics and meaningless campaign statements.
“This is a sincere apology to Rigathi Gachagua for sharing what appeared to be fake messages that claimed about the 50/50 power sharing plan with Kalonzo Musyoka. As a man of honor rooted in the transformation of Kenya from a rotten society governed by lies, corruption, violence and ethnic discrimination to a power-based society, I will not accept false politics, distortions and meaningless propaganda,” said Miguna.
At the same time, the lawyer criticized the purveyors of fake news, claiming that they are being helped by the government to push a corrupt agenda.
“Although we strongly oppose his Gachagua politics of ethnic selfishness, we strongly reject the production and distribution of false information by William Ruto’s propaganda machine to spread unnecessary pain and division. People’s Patriotic Coalition continues to focus on the struggle for freedom using truth, accurate information, revolutionary spirit and change programs,” said Miguna.
Does Gachagua want 50 percent of the government in 2027?
Meanwhile, Gachagua himself denied reports that he has sidelined himself in the 2027 presidential race.
Addressing the DCP youth party in Nairobi, Rigathi Gachagua rejected recent claims about his withdrawal from the presidential race, calling them government propaganda aimed at undermining his foundations.

He confirmed his intention to contest, positioning himself as a strong candidate against Ruto due to strong grassroots support, strategic planning skills, and access to campaign resources.
Gachagua emphasized that the opposition will present one candidate, and he is confident in his ability to motivate his colleagues to support his campaign and deliver a strong message to defeat Ruto.
Rigathi Gachagua expressed his commitment to mobilizing opposition leaders to support his presidential campaign, but said he would be willing to withdraw if a stronger candidate emerged.
He rejected media reports claiming that he supported Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 election, calling them government-sponsored fake news.
