John Okoth was also killed in Tanzania

His death is very similar to that of John Okoth, a Kenyan teacher from Siaya who lived and worked in Tanzania for eight years.

Okoth, who was teaching at Sky Schools, was reportedly killed in Gaba, Ubungo, Dar es Salaam.

His body is still in the Mwananyamala mortuary while relatives are looking for help to bring it home for burial.

For grieving families on both sides of the border, the ongoing situation raises many questions, pain, and cries for justice.

While efforts to restore peace in Tanzania are increasing, two Kenyan families are left to mourn their loved ones who crossed the border in search of livelihood, but now they are returning home as figures of an election surrounded by controversy.
