However, the Italian was confident that the problem was not serious and that the Portuguese winger could play against his former club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, this weekend.
“It’s not a problem, it’s just a small problem. So we’re trying to protect him. He’s not involved in tomorrow’s game,” he said, as reported on the club’s website.
Statistics about Pedro Neto
The 25-year-old has been one of the regulars under Maresca, making 14 appearances so far this season.
He has scored two goals and provided two assists in the Premier League.

Chelsea injury list
Neto joins a roster that already features star striker Cole Palmer, who has been sidelined since going off injured against Manchester United on September 20 due to groin problem.
Benoit Badiashile is also absent with a muscle injury, but Maresca gave positive information about the two.
“We play with Cole every day. He does not participate in any sessions with the team. But we can have Benoit Badiashile after the international break.”
Also missing are Levi Colwill and Darrio Essugo, who are expected to be out for the foreseeable future.
Champions League standings
Chelsea are currently in 13th place with six points after losing against Bayern Munich in the opening game before coming back to beat Benfica and Ajax.
Their opponents started well, beating Benfica and Copenhagen in their first two games, but lost to Athletic Bilbao in their last away game.
The last time the two teams met was in the group stage of the Champions League in 2017, where the Blues won both matches 10-0 on aggregate under Antonio Conte.
