Tinderet, Nandi county: The family of the missing politician Shadrack Maritim is very worried since he ran away on October 27, and did not return home.

Maritim, who is a candidate for Tinderet Member of Parliament in the upcoming 2027 general election, was last seen at his Cheplaskei home in Uasin Gishu County near Eldoret.
According to his family, Maritim used to go jogging in the morning at 12:00 in the morning wearing a gray jacket, shoes of the same color and blue pants. Maritim is 40 years old and has an athletic figure.
“He left his phone at home, and there has been no contact since his disappearance,” the family said.
“He went for a run in the morning and never came back; we are very worried. Please help us find him,” they added.

What did residents say about Maritim’s disappearance?
When residents heard that Maritim was missing, they took to the streets to protest, and the police came out to shut it down protest.
“It is very unfortunate that the parliamentary candidate for Tinderet, Shadrack Maritim aka Captain has been reported missing since Monday, no one knows where he is… please we request the DCI to investigate this,” said one resident.
“To the great people of Tinderet, let’s not let politics separate us from justice for this family.” he added.
