Although the president is a public figure, not much is known about his family, which prefers to keep a secret.
President Samia is married to Hafidh Ameir, and together they have four children, three sons and one daughter.
Who is Samia Suluhu’s daughter?
Her daughter, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, has attracted public attention by choosing to follow closely in her mother’s footsteps.
Unlike his brothers and his father, who do not seem to be famous, Wanu has made a name for himself in the political arena.
He was born in 1982 and is a member of Tanzania’s ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), where his mother serves as the chairperson.
He has been an active participant in the country’s politics for almost two decades.
Wanu has served as a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives of Zanzibar since 2005, a position that has placed him within the political circles of CCM and set him as a possible example for his mother.
During the 2025 General Election, he not only campaigned for his mother’s presidential bid but also ran for the presidency again.
His efforts bore fruit, as he successfully defended his seat, continuing his parliamentary position, and his mother also won.

For now, it remains to be seen if he will climb the corridors of power again in the new government of President Samia.
Few details are known about the personal lives of Wanu and Mchengerwa and whether they have children together.
