Jalang’o Fears Eric Omondi’s Successes, Urges Him to Run for Embakasi East Instead of Lang’ata

The Member of Parliament for Lang’ata Jalang’o, real name Phelix Odiwuor, has disappointed the comedian Eric Omondi to run against him in the 2027 general election.

Eric has been doing philanthropy and has hinted at running for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in 2027, a position held by Jalang’o.

How did Jalang’o advise Eric Omondi about politics?

Through social media, Jalang’o encouraged the comedian to change his mind and run for Embakasi East.

The former radio presenter explained that the current Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, Grandfather Owinowill compete for the highest position, thus making room for Eric.

Can Jalang’o win the second term in Lang’ata?

The Member of Parliament also participated in a poll conducted by Mizani Africa which claimed that he would easily retake his seat if elections were held today.

According to the analysis, Jalang’o would win with 55.3% while Eric got only 5%.

The analysis stated:

“Jalango is leading in the leadership in Lang’ata, showing the great confidence of the voters in his leadership. With 55.3% support, he has a big chance against Abass Khaliff (8.5%) and Eric Omondi (5.3%). 28.8% who are undecided show a segment that is still measuring performance.

Comparative parliamentary analysis: Lang’ata Constituency Question: If elections were held today, who would you vote for as the next member of parliament for Lang’ata Constituency? Jalango – 55.3%.”

Did Jalang’o visit Raila Odinga’s grave?

As previously reported, Jalang’o visited the grave of Raila Odinga at the family cemetery in Bondo.

He was wearing all white clothes and holding a whiskey similar to the one that Raila was famous for.

He joined the crowd of mourners chanting “Jowi, Jowi,” and the lawmaker could not hold back tears at one point.
