A state of anxiety prevailed in Kyasila village in Machakos county after residents arrested four people for allegedly practicing witchcraft near the house of a politician.

The four, including two women and two men, were found at night with items such as small gourds and red clothes, which are usually associated with witchcraft.
The villagers quickly took action and arrested them, leaving no chance of escape.
What did the residents of Machakos do to the witchcraft suspects?
In a video that went viral online, the four people, who had been beaten by the villagers, were seen sitting on the ground with visible injuries following the mob attack.
They were asked about what they were doing, but could not give a direct answer.
