A great wave of sadness has hit the community Githurai following the tragic death of 27-year-old boda boda rider Frankline Gatukui, who was brutally murdered just 40 days after her wedding.

When did Frankline and Naomi get married?
Frankline and Naomi exchanged vows on September 13, in a beautiful ceremony at the AIPCA Kiuu Church, a day filled with laughter, music, and eternal promises.
But just six weeks later, that promise was cut short.
On the evening of October 20, Frankline was reportedly attacked and stabbed to death along the Githurai-Kasarani road at about 5:20 pm.
News of his death quickly spread through the community, leaving his family, friends, and fellow riders in shock and disbelief.
Frankline’s ceremony was held at the AIPCA Kiuu Church
Last weekend, mourners gathered for a mass for the dead in Frankline’s honor. The ceremony began with a visit to the crime scene, where family and friends held a brief prayer service at 9 p.m.
Then they continued with protest of grief to the AIPCA Kiuu Church for the main service at 4 pm. All clothing was black, symbolizing mourning, unity, and respect.
Church leaders, led by Bishop Peterson Njenga of the AIPCA Diocese Thikajoined the family in prayer, urging the authorities to act quickly and ensure justice is served.
“We mourn a young man whose future was bright, whose heart was kind, and whose life was cut short too early,” Bishop Njenga said.
