Saviemaria became famous after being the captain of the plane Kenya Airways (KQ) that transported the body of the late Raila Odinga from Mumbai, India, to Nairobi on October 16.

After gaining fame, Saviemaria scrutinized her profile, with some online characters setting up accounts that were suggested to be hers.

In an interview with NTVthe pilot clearly clarified that he was not on any social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Saviemaria recently described the RAO-001 as extraordinary, the most extraordinary ever in his career.

How Captain Ondego brought Raila home

As previously reported, the captain described his time as the pilot of a Boeing 737-800 bound for India as one of the most unusual and emotional moments of his aviation career.

Although he was used to ordinary flights, this special flight carried a great sense of national responsibility, making it unlike any other he had flown before.

Saviemaria recounted that the emotional weight increased during the welcome meeting before the trip, when he struggled to speak, unable to speak, due to the gravity of the situation he was facing.

After being overcome with emotion at the airport, the pilot stopped to collect himself before addressing the passengers accompanying Raila’s body, determined to honor the moment with dignity.

Despite her trembling voice, she made the announcement and followed it up with a heartfelt tribute to the late ODM leader, a gesture that reflected courage and grace at a time of national grief.

Although it started like any other day in the sky, this flight wrote Saviemaria’s name in history as she attempted a routine flight to Kenya.

He offered his sincere condolences to the family of the late Raila and Kenyans.

His message emphasized unity, compassion, and a shared sense of national mourning as the country mourns the loss of one of its most prominent politicians.

Who else was on board RAO-001?

Inside the historic plane were more than 30 delegates sent by President William Ruto, including senior government officials led by the Prime Minister Stay Mudavadi and ODM party officials.

The group left Kenya on the evening of Wednesday, October 15, the same day Raila died, and arrived in Mumbai early the next morning.

By then, Raila’s body had already been moved from Kochi, where he collapsed during a routine walk and later died at Devamatha Hospital, to Mumbai via a special Indian Air Force plane.
