He had written:
“Today I celebrate Mr. Sammy Lui, a legend, a former civil servant who served honorably as the Director of Government events. Sammy’s commanding voice, his organized flow of words, English skills and unparalleled knowledge of protocol and event management skills made Government events great. He remains the best person to hold that position and although he is now retired, he has often come out of retirement to help with various celebrations. I learned a lot from this legend during our work visit in the administration of former President Kibaki when I was Director of Information and Public Communication. May God keep you strong sir and give you a long life to continue sharing your wisdom with the younger generations.”
