How did SK Macharia and Raila become friends?
According to the entrepreneur, Jaramogi gave him the responsibility of taking care of Raila and Oburu.
“The last day Jaramogi left Nairobi for Bondo, Ida was there. I walked her through the stairs of Agip House. When I put her in the car, she said she would come back the following week to meet former President Daniel Arap Moi.
He told me he had two sons, Oburu and Raila, and since I am older than them, I should take care of them.”
SK admitted to have unwavering support for Odinga’s family.
“Whenever you have been hearing rumors about a Kikuyu called SK supporting Raila through a different presidency, it is because they are my brothers.”

For her part, Ida admitted that SK has always supported the family.
“The story of Odinga and SK began in the early 1990s – he has been a friend of this family.
In 1992, when I was fired for the second time, SK was the first to reach out to me.
Ida said she moved to Jaramogi’s office in Agip House to work there.
“SK came and thought I was a secretary – but I acted like one in Jaramogi’s office. Since then, he has been with us on many trips.
