The chairman of Royal Media Services SK Macharia has returned to Kang’o Ka Jaramogi in Bondo to console the family of the late former prime minister Raila Odinga after the leader’s funeral.

Macharia arrived on the morning of Thursday, October 23, and was received by the governor of Homa Bay Gladys Wanga.

SK Macharia’s visit to Raila’s grave

A video broadcast by Citizen TV showed the RMS boss landing in his chopper in the compound and heading to Raila’s grave with delegates.

He, along with his squad, stopped at the grave and prayed, as seen in the video.

It should be noted that Macharia and Raila had a long, personal and politically important friendship.

The businessman was a strong supporter of Raila throughout his political career.

Their relationship extended beyond politics, with Macharia recognizing Raila as a brother and friend.

How did SK Macharia mourn Raila Odinga?

After saying goodbye to Raila, he paid tribute to him.

“Words cannot describe what I feel today. I am completely heartbroken. Raila Odinga was not only a brother and a friend; he was a part of my life. He was a person I cared about a lot and a leader whose qualities attracted my trust. My family and I have lost a family member, a best friend, and a confidant. Kenya has lost,” said the Kenyan spokesperson.

On Monday, October 20, the former president Uhuru Kenyatta he warmed hearts after visiting Raila’s family a few hours after his burial.

Uhuru was seen at the grave, accompanied by people believed to be family members.
