The former Prime Minister died while being treated in India and was buried on Sunday, October 19
His funeral drew huge crowds from the time his body arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), to the viewing ceremony. KasaraniNairobi, then Kisumu.
During the funeral service held BondoSiaya county, supporters filled the stadium, many coming to pay their last respects to the deceased hero.
Because of the large crowd and the long service that was expected to include many speeches, some Kenyans knew they might be without food for several hours.

What did the old man do in Siaya?
However, an old man caught the attention of many online after a video was circulated showing him with lunch in his pocket.
The old man, who was wearing a clean gray suit, was not ready to let hunger interfere with his time to participate in the funeral.
He had put a whole loaf of bread in the side pocket of his jacket and stood behind the press team, raising his head to try to see what was happening on stage.
He looked calm but thoughtful, walking slowly with his hands behind his back.
The video created a stir online, with many recognizing his sincerity in crying for Raila, even in the midst of hunger.
