William Ruto assures Raila’s bodyguard, Maurice Ogeta of a job in government after the death of his boss

• He assured Ogeta of the opportunity to work with his government, recognizing his role in preserving Raila’s legacy

President William Ruto has congratulated the bodyguard of the former prime minister Raila OdingaMaurice Ogeta.

Speaking during Raila’s funeral ceremony at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) area BondoSiaya County, President Ruto assured Ogeta of the opportunity to work with his government.

Ruto he recalled how Maurice would wipe their shoes after campaigning during his ODM days.

“We must thank his security men. Maurice Ogeta in particular, thank you very much Maurice for standing by Raila all the time, I remember Maurice in our ODM days. This Maurice used to clean our shoes when we were late from the campaign. Maurice, I want to tell the government when we look at Raila’s legacy, you too will stand to look at Raila who walked with Babaga.”
