The leader of the Newlife Church Center Pastor Ezekiel Odero has mourned Raila Odinga who died in India on October 15.

Ezekiel in 2023 was linked to a scandal after the government began to investigate the bodies found in Shakahola.
Following the investigation, Ezekiel was arrested and spent many days in prison until he was released.
What did Ezekiel say about Raila Odinga?
After Raila’s death, Ezekiel shared a moving tribute in his honor and recalled the times the late politician proved to be a true friend.
“He asked me why I was going through things and I didn’t do anything wrong, I told him that’s what I was trying to understand. He said it was wrong for me to go through all those things. Of everyone, Raila took his time, he paid for his own plane to come visit me and hear the truth of why the church is going through those issues,” said Ezekiel.
The man of God also noted that Raila is not afraid to associate with him when no one wanted to involve him.
“We as the Newlife Church are hurting because when we had no friends Raila was a true friend and he came to investigate the truth because no one wanted to come. That is why I say as a church we have lost a friend. Even after he visited me he continued to check how we are doing. His death has hurt my heart. Even though you are gone, it is not easy for Newlife to forget your true pain.” he said.

What to know about condolences to Raila
When President William Ruto officially announced Raila’s death, he mourned him as his successor and ordered seven days of mourning.
Former president Uhuru Kenyatta he vowed to take care of Raila’s family while remembering his memories with his friend.
Kalonzo Musyoka he also wrote moving greetings in honor of the late politician mentioning him as his brother.

Did Winnie Odinga praise her father?
elsewhere, Winnie Odinga he delighted Kenyans in his honor during his father’s national funeral held at Nyayo Stadium.
He explained how he laughed when he heard that Raila left orders that he be buried within 72 hours.
Winnie also recounted her last moments with her father and revealed that she died in his arms.
