Many mourners wore black in honor of Raila, and those who got a chance to speak gave him heartfelt praise.
Did Oparanya speak at Raila Odinga’s national funeral?
During the tribute, Raila’s brother, Oburu Oginga, made mourners laugh after introducing his two wives.
Oburu revealed that Raila died on his birthday before giving a brief history of their childhood.
Before welcoming his brother’s widow, Ida Odingato speak, he called his two wives, Ayoo and Judith, to the stage and introduced them with love as the mourners cheered.
He said:
“I am a general, I have two wives. If I fail to introduce them to you, they may get jealous and deny me food. My older wife, Dr. Anne Ayoo Oburu is here… we grew up together, but I thought now at my age I don’t want her to scratch me or give me a massage, so I brought her assistant, Judith Oburu. She works with NSSF and is also an accountant by profession,” said the Siaya Senator.
Ruto, Minister Kagwe and other politicians laughed a lot, while Oparanya, sitting behind the president, was seen smiling.

Not long ago, Oparanya, who also has two wives, spoke publicly after pictures of him and his girlfriend, Mary Biketi, went viral online.
The polygamous politician admitted that he has two wives and explained the reason for having a lover.
“After politics, you need someone to entertain you. My wife (one of them) lives here, she can’t accompany me everywhere, and sometimes you just need to relax with a beautiful woman by your side. That’s why I’m with her,” he said in an earlier interview.

What killed Raila Odinga?
On the morning of October 15, while Raila was doing his usual walk in Kerala, India where he had gone to seek medical treatment, he started having trouble breathing and collapsed.
He was rushed to Devamatha Hospital where doctors tried to revive him by giving him CPR, but it was unsuccessful.
After further efforts in the emergency room and ICU, doctors confirmed his death at 1:22 am the same day.
Dr Sista Fons, a cardiologist at the hospital, explained that Raila was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney problems.
“He had diabetes and high blood pressure. He had chronic kidney disease and he also had DVT in his right leg, so he was placed with an IVC filter,” he revealed.

TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Raila will be buried on Sunday, October 19, at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo.
The ODM leader will be buried in a private ceremony near the grave of his parents according to his wishes.
