Member of Parliament of the East African Parliament (EALA) Winnie Odinga has mourned his late father, Raila Odinga, in a touching tribute.

He was with his father in India, and shared his last moments, explaining that some of the information online was incorrect.
What were Raila Odinga’s last minutes like?
Raila’s last born revealed that a part of him died on the same day his father passed away.
Winnie revealed that her father remained strong until his last moments. He added that he liked to exercise every morning.
“Today when we celebrate his life, I choose not only to remember the leader that everyone knew but the father that I loved with all my being, most of my life I died on October 15, the spirit of the lion roars forever, I was with him in India when he took his last breath, he died in my arms, but he did not die as people have been saying on social networks,” he said.

Raila loved to walk, and every day he added a walking cycle to his routine.
On that fateful day, Winnie said that her father had walked five rounds, and Kenyans should be proud that he died as a soldier.
“Every day, he would get up and walk. And every day he would do one round, the next he pushed up to two rounds. That morning he pushed up to five rounds. He died strong and with honor and pride and you have to be proud of that. Walk with pride knowing that he left like a gentleman,” Winnie shared.

He painfully mentioned how he and his siblings were the luckiest people in the world to have that politician as their father.
“I don’t know who I will miss more, my father or my hero. I was the luckiest girl in the world because you were my father. Father, you were quick, steady, patient, and human. When you were young, they called you Aluo, they started calling you the son of Jaramogi. To me, you were just a father, a man who had rooms,” he just added.

Mother Ida Odinga she paid tribute to her late husband and promised to honor the memories they created together in the past few decades.
Oburu Odinga delighted the mourners when he introduced his two wives and the reason why he added another wife.
Raila Junior held back tears as he promised to take care of his mother and two sisters as he officially assumed the mantle as the head of their family.

In other news, Winnie and her brother were among the family members who were in Parliament to view Raila’s body.
Winnie had missed looking at Raila’s body Kasarani. He was seen giving his father a goodbye kiss.
