While at the Parliament building where Raila’s body was taken before his state funeral, Ogeta was caught crying uncontrollably.

Ogeta who was wearing dark shades was accompanied by Narok senator Ledama Ole Kina who had discovered the emotional state that Raila’s death had hit him.

When he saw the fight that Ogeta was having, the President William Ruto he walked up to her with his arms open before giving her an emotional hug.

Then the head of state held his hands and shared words of encouragement before leaving.

Ole Kina, holding Ogeta’s hand, escorted him to a nearby chair, where Ogeta sat while still sobbing.

What did Kenyans say when Ruto hugged Ogeta?

After seeing Ruto hugging Ogeta, Kenyans took to social media to respond, while others expressed their sadness that Raila had passed away.

“It hurts more to see him dead. This man needed to fix Kenya, but we denied him a chance because of tribal politics. Go well Mr. Jakom.”

Why was Raila’s body taken to Parliament?

Raila’s body was scheduled to be laid to rest in parliament on Thursday, October 16, but the plan was changed due to a large crowd of people who came out to mourn his death.

However, Raila’s body was finally taken to Parliament, where the elders and family members of the country took turns to view his body.

The head of state explained that Raila’s last journey on earth will not be complete without his body being laid to rest in the Parliament buildings.

Furthermore, Ruto said that Raila at some point in his political life was an MP, so it would not be legal to leave lies in the government phase.

Raila’s body was dressed in a suit and with an ODM belt.
