How doctors tried to save Raila Odinga’s life
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, October 15, Dr. Alphonse, a cardiologist at Devamatha Hospital, gave an account of the efforts made to save Raila Odinga’s life.
He said that when Raila arrived at the hospital, they started treating him Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
This technique can save lives after a heart attack by helping to supply blood to the brain and other vital organs when the heart stops or fails to beat properly.
When CPR was unsuccessful, Dr. Alphonse said they tried other methods, including placing a tube in Raila’s respiratory system, but even then he did not recover.
