Raila Odinga: Businesses Closed Homa Bay, Migori to mourn the ODM candlestick

Raila died on Wednesday, October 15, in India.

Businesses remain locked in the cities of Homa Bay and Migori for the best place of the morning until the afternoon as residents and traders arrive on the road to mourn.

How Homa Bay cried out to Raila Odinga

In a state of sadness, and as was the custom of the Luo community, a bull group was visited in front of mourners to honor the fallen elder.

Helida Nyapati, a prominent ODM party supporter in Homa Bay, mourned Raila, remembering him as a great leader in the political arena.

“I have nothing to say and I have no hope at this time specifically. This is the death that has hit me so much. Until I go Bondo (Raila’s home) and confirming that he is really dead, I can’t believe this news, “Nyapati said as he burst into tears.

He noted that he could not even open his business as he had received the news of the mystery.

Onyango Ojala, who is also a resident, remembered Raila as a dedicated leader, and his death has left the Luo community a huge gap that fills it will be difficult.

“As a Luo community, we are left in the middle of the storm. We are very sad. Let him rest in peace,” Ojala noted.

The residents also called for peace and unity while the Luo nation, as well as other communities continued to embrace Raila’s farewell news.

“He would point us as Gen Zs and calm us down, and we would listen to him, and the nation would calm down by his word,” Nicholate Awuor said.

How did the Migori residents cry out to Raila?

In the city of Migori, businesses were closed and transportation was stopped as tens of thousands of residents emerged on the road to mourn.

The gums and cries were filled in the air as residents marched on the road.

“This has come recently, we know no one is dying, but we didn’t see this coming, and we closed our business as a sign of respect and loyalty to our leader,” Auma Keneth, the host said.

How did Bondo residents respond to Raila’s death?

Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that in Bondo, at Raila’s home, residents closed everything and went into the road to mourn him.

They walked on the road carrying leafy stems while others shouted ‘Jowi Jowi’.

The women tear down, holding their hands on their head as they mourned. Several leaders have already participated in their condolences.

Raila is said to have left the world while undergoing treatment in Kochi, India. He is said to have experienced respiratory problems and break down during the morning walks.
