One family in the Syokimau area, Machakos County, has been overwhelmed with sadness and pain following the sad death of their brother, Samuel Muiruri Maina.

Maina is said to receive a call from a land businessman who identified himself as Farah, who asked him to come for a business contract – not knowing the bad fate was waiting for him.
What happened to Samuel Muiruri?
When he met the land businessman in the Viraj Estate area near hemp, the man who phoned him and another unidentified man attacked him with kicks and pads.
The attack angered the surrounding witnesses, who decided to intervene to save him from his attackers.
In the riots, an unidentified suspect fled on foot with an angry crowd chasing him.
In a video circulating online, he was seen shooting as he ran to save his life. To Luck Worse, one of those bullets hit a throat in the chest and killed him instantly.
“Now he has a gun, this one will kill someone,” A voice was heard saying in the video.
Amos Michael, who was a witness to the whole incident, said the two suspects were inside the car while the deceased was standing outside.
“They grabbed a gun and they were pointing him. The people there tried to enter, then the violence began.”Said Amos.
Maina was shot shortly afterwards, and the efforts of residents to rush him to the hospital were unsuccessful.
“I heard the sound of a bullet. A few minutes later, they brought Sammy on a motorcycle. One good Samaritan asked if I could drive, and gave me his car to the hospital,” Said Eugene as another witness.

Did the residents burn Farah’s car?
Angry residents burned the car that the suspect and his colleague used to arrive at the scene. His late brother, Francis Maina, expressed their agony and shock about what had happened.
He claimed the murder was planned earlier because Farah was the one who phoned his brother to call him business.
“You call someone for a business, he comes, then you kill him. This is someone who knew what he was doing. We want to see this Farah, but the police are hiding him,” He said.
Angry residents wanted to take the law into their own hands, but the police quickly intervened and arrested Farah, thus saving him from the crowd.
Why was Samuel Muiruri attacked?
According to a Citizen TV statement, Farah has been in the middle of a land dispute involving him.
Muiruri, who was an accountant of the social welfare group responsible for the sale of land in the area, is reportedly selling to Farah a disputed land.
Years later, the legitimate owner of the land emerged with the correct document to prove its ownership.
Farah was forced to pay again for the land because he had already built a living house.
That is why he called Muiruri to demand part of his payment, which led to the intense controversy over the murder incident.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the essence of the incident, with the Muiruri family seeking justice.
